The ‘Experiential Design & Creativity Award (EDCA)’ by Eventpreneur kicked off in 2023 with great fanfare, earning massive love & respect from the events industry, evident in the 600+ entries we received, from agencies and individuals from across the length and breadth of the country.
Of these, 193 winners took home the prestigious EDCA trophy at the star studded #FestivalOfinnovation finale event.
As we move into the 2nd year, EDCA 2.0 is designed to be more inclusive, more accessible, and more diverse to ensure everyone in our universe has the opportunity to stand out for their experiential excellence.
What’s New?
This year, we open the doors to more than 200 categories, to include suppliers & artists + we also introduce special categories such as the New Media Awards, and a whole new track dedicated to game changers in Private and Luxury Experiences. From this year, we introduce the completely free-to-enter ‘Industry’s Choice Awards’ to ensure that every meritorious event professional receives their time in the sun.

SEPTEMBER 2024 – Winners Announced At The ‘EDCA Festival Of Innovation’ Event In Mumbai, India.
EDCA follows the stringent evaluation protocol that is created by the global leader ‘Eventex Awards’.
Approval – Upon submission, each entry is assessed by the EDCA team to ensure it meets the eligibility criteria. If an entry is approved, it continues into the evaluation phase.
Rejected entries receive feedback from our team on the reasons for rejection and how to make the necessary changes for re-submission. Last-minute entries that get rejected are not eligible for re-submission. Entries in jury-evaluated categories submitted up to a month before the submission deadline receive personalized detailed feedback.
To give your entries the best chance of winning, we recommend that you:
- Read carefully all the requirements and evaluation criteria;
- Make sure that your application form is carefully filled out before submitting;
- Follow the directions of the EDCA team if resubmission is required;
- Do not leave submission for the last moment in case your entry requires resubmission.
- Every year we invite experts and professionals from the world’s best brands & global experts to form our jury panel — from marketing leaders to brand strategists, advertisers and heads of associations to representatives of convention bureaus, top influencers, and thought leaders, each with an in-depth understanding of the industry’s ever-changing landscape.
- All approved entries in a category are evaluated on their own merit, based on a set of pre-defined criteria.
- The final score of an entry is the total average score from the ratings given by each jury member in the category.
- Each entry is evaluated by a panel of minimum 4 judges, within a set of categories assigned in accordance with their field of expertise.
- The process ensures that any affiliations of a judge with any of the competing entries are taken into consideration, and respectively no judges are assigned categories where such entries are present.
Criteria & Weight – Entries are scored based on 3 key criteria:
- CREATIVITY & INNOVATION – 50 Points
- PLANNING & EXECUTION – 30 Points
- EFFECTIVENESS & RESULTS – 20%
During the evaluation process, there are no restrictions on the number of winners. As many or as few entries per category could get an award, based on the score they have received. This ensures that entries do not compete against each other but on their own merit.
An entry needs to score 70 or more points to be awarded.
In order to ensure a fair, transparent & unbiased process at EDCA, the following measures are stringently adhered:
1) None of EDCA associates/ partners are allowed to enter EDCA Awards.
2) The submissions are strictly monitored and ensured that they are seen ONLY by the jury panel. Only one single resource from Eventpreneur is allowed to access submissions, simply for hygiene/ completion check.
3) The Evalato software used for the entries management & evaluation ensures the whole process remains transparent to every jury panelist and participants & ensures we uphold the integrity of the awards.
